Before you leave the location from which you have rented your vehicle, you should inspect the vehicle and make sure it is in the condition shown on the Vehicle Inspection Sheet. You should report any differences immediately to the staff at the pick-up location. You should also make sure you have any equipment you have requested. If you have any queries, you should go back to the rental counter.
For security reasons your Blue Chip details are not recognised internationally. But don’t despair. International rental car reservations can be made by visiting www.thrifty.com and Australian rental car reservations at www.thrifty.com.au. Please do not enter your Blue Chip number on this website – simply enter BLUE into the promotion code field. Upon arrival, present your Blue Chip Membership card. Easy!
Unfortunately not. Blue Chip membership can only be used by the person whose name appears on the card. Your Blue Chip profile contains specific information such your licence details and date of birth. Partners or colleagues can be added to the car rental contract upon collection (provided they’re at the counter with you). Or they can establish their own Blue Chip membership.
Don’t worry, New Zealand Blue Chip members don’t need a password to log in. Just ensure that you’re on the New Zealand website – www.thrifty.co.nz. Your only log in requirement is your membership number and surname.

Of course! We have an update your profile page. After entering your Blue Chip number and surname you’ll be able to amend your details, such as your address, drivers licence expiry, email address and billing details.
