Black Betty Café

Located at 165 Madras St is the friendly and well-kept coffee shop known as Black Betty Café. It serves up some of the best coffees in the Christchurch area and it boasts an interesting breakfast menu, too! Choose from chorizo sausages, Desayuno de Mexico, Eggs Benedict and much more. They’ve even got Switch Espresso re-usable coffee mugs. If you’re driving around in a hired car, Black Betty is directly opposite the Ara Institute of Canterbury.

Although you’ll find a bus stop just outside the café, you’re better off hiring a car and exploring places at your leisure. Check out their roaster before you leave. Addington Coffee Co-op ticks many boxes. It’s warm, laid-back and inviting. Just perfect!

Cosy Cafe

Love trying different roasts and blends? Cosy Cafe has an extensive menu. This is where you’ll have the chance to sip a delectable Hummingbird Coffee. Their desserts are fabulous, too. They’ve got something to please every palate. Even vegetarians have options to choose from.

North Beach Coffee Shed

If you are after a stroll on the beach and coffee then head over to New Brighton.  Nestled beside the North Beach Surf Club is the North Beach Coffee Shed, this cute little blue shed serves up great coffees, teas and chai.  Grab a coffee and then walk up into the dunes, sit at a picnic table and watch the waves roll in.

Located at 80 Marine Parade beside the North Beach Surf Club, the North Beach Coffee Shed is worth the drive.
